BMW K1200LT - Reviews
It is a big, heavy bike that can be difficult for smaller people to handle but it is worth the effort to get the luxury ride.
It has an electronically adjustable windshield, full stereo, heated saddle for colder days, and more.
The BMW K 12000 LT also makes some accommodations for shorter, smaller riders by allowing for adjustments of seat height, and stepper motor for a perfectly ergonomic fit for any rider.
The BMW K 12000 LT has a horizontal 1200cc four cylinder engine that is positioned to provide a lower center of gravity making it easier to handle. It gets great gas mileage for such a large powerful machine and can get up to 42 miles per gallon even fully loaded. It has a built in trip computer to give you all of the mileage information you desire.
The BMW K 12000 LT has a unique reverse gear which is very helpful in managing such a large bike. It operates with a simple turn of a knob to start the engine in reverse so you can maneuver it more reliably, however this bike is still a handful and can easily tip over. It comes with well-padded crash bars that you can lay it down on if you lose control while trying to manipulate it.
Comparison bikes are the Honda Goldwing, Harley Davidson Ultra Classic and Electra Glide.
Advantages: the luxury ride you can only dream of on other bikes.
Disadvantages: Heavy and hard to maneuver in tight spaces.
