For real speed and power the Ducati Hypermotard 1100 hands over everything the serious speed enthusiast can desire. It has the ability to churn out speeds over 125 mph with grace and style. This is serious power in a beautiful package.

At about 390 pounds this is a very light, powerful, and aggressive machine that takes a skilled driver. Even though the Hypermotard is good in town and on a track it excels in high speed, winding turns, and wide open stretches.

They Hypermotard is still a naked street bike at heart but with the power of a Supermoto. Design wise it isn't much different from the Multistrada which gives it the ability to handle just about any road condition from wide open mountain road to inner city congestion. It's the growling 1100cc engine that makes it stand out from the crowd.

While Ducati worked hard to make it commuter friendly and even provided foldable mirrors to make dealing with tight traffic conditions easier the Hypermotard isn't really a commuter bike. It's a fun, thrill-seeking speed bike right down to its hyper-elegant under tail exhaust.

Advantages: Fast, fun, superb in the twisties.

Disadvantages: Small fuel tank. Approximately 3 gallon capacity is surely designed more for the track than an open road with gas stations few and far between. Definitely not for a beginner. The power will shoot out from under anyone not accustomed to controlling such force.
