Ducati Supersports - Reviews And Classifieds

The Ducati Supersport or SS model line lasted from 1989 to 2007 and was built around full-faired or half-faired 750, 800, 900 or 1000 production models.

Unlike the Ducati superbike line the SS models never aimed to be the most powerful sportbikes nor are they as beautiful or iconic as the Ducati 916 line.

They were, however, produced under four principles: great handling, light weight, smooth power delivery and versatility and as such have there place in the Ducati line up despite being over-shadowed by some of their other models.

The 800SS in particular is a well respected first sportbike for learning riders and the entire range is available on the used market at very competitive prices considering the premium the Ducati badge normally commands.
