The Ducati 1000 Supersport is exactly what its name implies a super sport bike. Its 992cc air cooled engine delivers power when you ask for it and its design provides stability in the most harrowing of circumstances so that anyone can enjoy the fun and excitement of a speedy sport bike.At 396 pounds the bike is easy to handle and once again Ducati found a way to lure those that were dedicated to the Japanese brands into the Italian performance fold.
The 1000 doesn't have the same power fade issues of the older Supersports and is a little more maneuverable in tight places and traffic but it still has some issues there as does any bike of this class.
However, the new 1000 Supersport is light years ahead of the older models in handling slow traffic and cramped city terrain. There are those little things that almost every Italian bike does but for some reason they make Ducati owners warm and fuzzy.
