The Honda CR450R was built for maximum competition on dirt roads and motocross. It has burning power and takes off with the blast of a nuclear missile.

All that speed comes with some problems, however. The suspension makes it hard to control over rough ground and you will more likely find yourself in a ditch than leaping over it if you are not careful. This bike requires extreme skill to handle the raw and unbridled power it contains.

It’s light. The 431cc 2 stroke engine propels the 250 pounds frame around like it was made of air. The rider goes along for the ride. A 4-speed transmission makes for some trouble with a long gap between gears and that takes a very experienced hand to judge.

It has a low 27” seat which makes it seem perfect for beginning riders but don’t be fooled. An amateur on this power bike will end up on the moon, or on the ground.
