The Honda XR80 is a little bit bigger midget but still a dirt lover. The 80cc engine has plenty of dart and can twist and jump like any great acrobat can. Built to be sturdy enough to handle the baddest dirt trail or constructed jump course the Honda XR80 is a great play bike or competition force. A mighty midget it is and great for young or young at heart.With a 28 inch seat it is big enough for an adult sized rider to feel comfortable performing on and small enough for young riders to handle. It has a little more power so that as a younger rider advances in skill it makes a great step up from the smaller powered midgets of its class. The small size of the midget bikes make them easy to toss about and perform wild stunts on which makes them a much loved addition to any stable.
Front and rear drum brakes are serviceable but not as sure-footed as they could be, but who is thinking about stopping when they have a mind to fly? Just make sure you give yourself plenty of room to stop. It is 154 pounds of motocross fun and speeds along the dirt on a back road with equal ease.
Advantages: Great advanced beginner bike that is suitable for any size rider. Low maintenance and very durable.
Disadvantages: Weak braking. Produces some headshake at higher speeds.
