The KTM SX 125 is a motocross (enduro/offorad) bike for the rider who is searching for a powerful alternative to the Japanese bikes. The two-stroke engine easily matches the power of many of the 250 four-stroke engines in its class. It is a good bike for a beginner, as the transmission shifts smoothly, yet a seasoned rider will not feel like a beginner when riding this bike.

The 2008 liquid-cooled engine delivers excellent mid-range power through its single cylinder. It has a lot of low-end torque to match the midrange horsepower and has a great top-end to it. It is backed up by a six-speed transmission, which passes the power through a chain drive to the rear wheel.

Both front and rear suspension use the WP – the front has a WP 48mm adjustable fork with 11.8 inches of travel and the rear uses the WP monoshock and has 13.2 inches of travel, giving this bike a smooth ride over the lumps and bumps. Front and rear brakes use Brambo discs. The front disc is 260mm and the rear is 220mm.
