The Suzuki GS650 rides so easy it is like cheating. Anyone can ride this vintage bike that has a naked bike charm that makes it lightweight and easy to repair if dumped. It is powerful enough to give a lot of thrills while being completely manageable and even civilized in heavy traffic. Its long 57.6 inch wheel base makes it very stable at any speed and its upright posture makes it comfortable for long distance riding. Its suspension is adjustable making it great on any road, long and straight or twisty and fast. The adjustments can be made without even getting off the bike, or turning off the engine so it is easy to do and won't hamper your fun.The Suzuki GS650 may not be the fastest kid on the block but it can pull a quarter mile out of its tailpipes at 12.91 seconds which is plenty fast for the average rider. Its maximum speed is 125 miles per hour. The bare naked aspect with no wind guards can make it a bit uncomfortable to ride over 75 miles per hour unless you are good at barreling into the wind with eyes squinted and shoulders braced against the blast. It tends to burn a little oil but frequent engine oil checks keep it running smoothly.
Advantages: Great beginner and intermediate bike with decent power and lots of control. Easy to maintain. Very stable.
Disadvantages: Not enough power for more advanced riders. No wind breaks make it a hard ride at higher speeds. Uses a lot of oil.
