The Suzuki Intruder 1500 is a long, sleek bike that sets a rider in a very 'chopper' rider position. It has a great deal of power and is definitely a muscle cruiser that looks like a heavyweight fighter although it is strictly middleweight class. Sitting down deep only 27.6 inches off the pavement a rider feels down into the bike as it rumbles down the street. Lots of chrome creates an elegant and dynamic effect making it a pretty boy muscle bike. It delivers 1462cc of engine power with oil cooled cylinders.The Suzuki Intruder 1500 is a girthy bike mostly because the massive engine took up so much space they had to shove the fuel tank under the seat of the bike which was so low it needed to be made wide to contain the 4.1 gallon capacity Intruder riders expected. The wide fuel tank under the seat made for a wide bodied bike that looks muscularly chunky. It also made for foot pegs placed further forward in true chopper style. That combined with high hand grips give the rider a true 'Born to be Wild' look about them as they power down the street.
Unlike many big cruisers the Intruder 1500 is quite gawky and clumsy at a very low speed. As it climbs up to a quicker pace it lightens up and starts to have fun. It does well in normal traffic and on the highway it is a blast. Because of its great bulk it tends to feel winds strongly but it isn't blow around. It takes it all in stride and makes its rider feel like a king or queen.

Disadvantages: Cumbersome in extremely low speed and a big bulky to maneuver in very tight spaces.
