The Yamaha Royal Star Tour Classic is a terrific two up custom cruiser with plenty of comfort and even more power. It handles great in town or on the highway with its super long (66.7 inch) wheelbase for extra stability. The long frame and super low 28 inch (710 mm) seat makes this bike low and extremely easy to control. That shortness doesn't equal squat, it is a lean, mean cruising machine. A great big 1294 cc liquid cooled engine with 5 speed transmission and an easy electric starter produces 74 horsepower (54 kW) at 5,000 rpm and 110 pounds (11.2 kgf-m) at 3,250 rpm. Jump on and get ready to take off on any adventure long or short.

Like most cruisers it is rather heavy, at 696.7 pounds (316 kg) but thanks to its low stature and stable base it is not difficult to handle for any rider with the possible exception of very light riders. A 4.8 gallon fuel tank keeps this humming machine running for about 170 miles without refueling. It has saddlebags for storage and a comfortable backrest for passengers and is easily customizable for even more creature comforts. The 4 into 2 exhaust along with the impressive v-twin engine make it extremely striking looking and the Yamaha Royal Star Tour Classic is always an attention getter at rest stops and on the road.

Disadvantages: Built for cruising this bike is not nimble or extremely flexible and while able to provide impressive power and speed isn't going to take off with a pack of racers.
