The versatile and easily controlled 649cc engine rumbles with power as it prowls the city streets. Yamaha managed to create two great bikes that provide something for everybody.

Lots of chrome adds to the visual appeal of the Yamaha V-Star 650 Custom along with plenty of plastic fairing. All of that flash makes it a bike that will draw stares as it cruises through town. For such a big bike, the V-Star 650 custom weighs in at 897 pounds soaking wet, it is surprisingly nimble and manageable. A very long 91.5 inch wheelbase is what gives it such excellent stability. It handles a slow crawl down Main Street or a throaty hike down the highway with equal ease.

With a 38-45 mile per gallon ability the Yamaha V-Star 650 Custom is a real winner at the pump too with an average range of about 178 miles per tank. It rides long and hard between fill ups and the 4.3 gallon tank won't break you to top off.
